Focus breathing compensation
This lens has been designed with Sony's latest lens technology to provide focus breathing compensation. This is achieved by applying a crop percentage to the image in-camera, reducing the effect of focus breathing and creating smooth, seamless focus transitions.

Active Mode
The 11mm f1.8 lens is compatible with cameras that feature Active Mode. When in this mode the lens applies a crop to the image, allowing you to maintain a steady background with reduced camera shake that is often found in handheld videos. When in Active Mode, the Sony E 11mm prime also uses this crop technique to avoid unwanted distortion often found in wide-angle lenses, ensuring that your footage always has you looking your best.

Dust and moisture resistant
This Sony lens is both dust and moisture resistant thanks to weather sealing around the lens. This increases the durability of the internal mechanisms of the lens, providing lifelong use and allowing you to take consistently high-quality video and photographs.

Focus Hold Button
The focus hold button on the side of the lens is customisable allowing you to assign a shortcut function to this button. There are multiple functions that can be assigned to this button. A function we might recommend is the Eye-AF function, which allows you to track and focus on a subject as they move around.
